2 months ago, I got my daughter a rabbit. We found out that my daughter was allergic to them, so I was looking for an adoptive home for it. Tonight the rabbit died, and my daughter is really upset. She is 7 and a new pet is not in the picture, since we found she is allergic to cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, basically anything with hair. What can I do to console her?

How sad! I know this is an old post but we lost our pet dwarf bunny a few days ago and everyone here is really upset. I know how she would feel. I hope you have found something to console your daughter since this was posted. Maybe you could try a bird such as a budgie as they are great little companions and very clever. We had one that could talk and lived outside it's cage more than in. Good luck.
