How to make money on myLot

Simple! One member rahulrulez (rahul m cool) in a discussion he posted, says he's made a lot of money.
I believe him. Today I found that he had copied and pasted a response of mine and posted it in the same discussion as his own. Later, I found he had copied and pasted a response of a myLot friend. Since then I have found he has copied and pasted at least ten responses, and I have suspicions that if I kept checking, I'd find that ALL his responses are copied and pasted.
I have reported him several times, but he is still there, so beware myLot members and report this kind of abuse when you see it.

I had a couple of my discussions copied. People were really on top of both of them. I probably would never have noticed!

Do you mean three years ago Dawn? There were sooooooo many discussions and responses copied back then, but I didn't think it was happening now. That guy's account was deleted, along with many others.

It still happens now and again. Two of mine were copied in the last several months, copied exactly. Another member's was rephrased. The words were different but the discussion was exactly the same. Still happens. Maybe just not as blatant.

omg, so unfair. not only to us thats proud of our accomplishments, but even to theirselves. because i believe that their time here is short lived and even worse they are missing the fun and enjoyment of good friends here at mylot.

This was 3 years ago Bunnybon. I believe myLot's copy and paste rule stopped this to a large degree, but I'm told it still happens sometimes.
Like the old saying "Cheats never prosper". They lose out when their discussions/responses are deleted and they lose out on the best reward of all - good friends.

Over the time I have had a few like this person who have done a cut and paste of a discussion of mine as well as several responses. Then when I checked they would do the same with others, so I reported them to myLot who did take action against these people. Also other people are taking notice of this and often reporting it as well, which is what I do if I ever find it in a discussion I am responding to. In those cases I tell the person who started the discussion as well as myLot.
At one time I started a discussion about payment for quality discussions and responses, which of course included those who were cheating here at myLot. Several of the people who responded saying it was wrong actually did a cut and paste from earlier responses on that very discussion. I suppose that because a lot of people do not read all the responses, they think they can get away with it. Chose the wrong person though because I am one of those who does read all the responses I get to any discussion. Also at one time only a couple of weeks ago there were a group here who were doing a "name and shame" plus reporting to myLot people who were stealing discussions and responses but then I read that some of them had been banned, so not sure.
Just keep your eyes open and you will see that action will be taken in due time. However with Christmas and New Year staffing would not have been as high here at myLot and there might be quite a backlog.

i feel so strange about it..how people can even think of doing things like this..if they don't have ideas they can reply to discussions in their interests area..there are so many options here if they just want to make money early..like responding to 100 discussions a day or more..i wonder about that person's guts too...who did it not only once but many times..what i think is if you want to give some person advice like what has been given to you earlier you can simply provide the link to that discussion..instead of doing cheap things like this..well i hope you must have got your problem solved by now cloudwatcher...have a nice time..was passing by and saw your discussion..so thought why not leave a message to you for letting you know that i came to see you..just kidding..;-)bbyee..so your responses are popular..hmm;-)if you find some time please visit my discussions also ..LOL..kidding again..(i love humor..hope you dnt mind dear)

Well, thanks for dropping by. As you see, this discussion is 6 months old. At that time we were overrun with copy and paste discussions and responses. This was before the 500 rule came into being. The then myLot police, a voluntary group, did much good in helping to track and eliminate these people.
Thanks for responding.

Hi mysD. I haven't actually seen any since I came back here 3 months ago, but I have heard it is still happening.

I know of people here and on other sites I have belonged too in the past that have done this, and it really should not be allowed, and they should be Banned. Hopefully now myLot is a lot more prepared to deal with issues such as this a little quicker, but we shall see.

Don't worry about it. The same thing happened to me some time back, and like you I checked on the person who did the copying and pasting only to find that the offender couldn't even speak English. I reported him, and MyLot took appropriate action against him. They could be just busy right now with all the changes, but they will respond.

Thanks, friend. I found three of his responses where he just copied the original posting and added a few words, but in all the others I checked, he picked on a long, well written response and pasted it as his own.
I think myLot is a great place for (mostly) sensible discussions and someone doing what he does cannot be tolerated. I feel sorry for him.

The gall of some people! Always thinking they should have one up on others. Lazy, I say, which them forces them to be dishonest.

Isn't that cheating? No wonder he made a lot of money if he copied and pasted members' discussion. I do not copy and paste articles I find on the web, I just put a link. I wonder why he has not been kicked off yet, while other members who have not violated guidelines have their posts deleted. I think I will check out that name and find out why.
I cannot find him, so I guess he has been given the boot.

I found someone like that today. REDROSE12. I went to his profile and read what he has posted and was flabbergasted. They are all different. In some of them he is a she, in some "she" is a young mother of a newborn baby, in others she has 4 children, in others she is very ill, in other "he" is 20, sometimes 26, sometimes he or she lives in the UK, sometimes the US and sometimes Indonesia. There is not even an attempt to HIDE the fact that it is blatant copy and pasting of others conversations. Yes I reported this person. I guess if nothing is going to happen, then MYLOT will cease to be a quality site anymore, unfortunately.
