There is curretnly a lot of attention being paid to the environment and global warming. Have any of you changed the way you do something to try and help the situation? Be it be walking to work of recycling more? Does any body have any grand ideas on how to improve things?

In our area we used to burn the wastes. But now atleast I do not burn anything as it produces lot of gas pollution. We should create awareness among students now. I am working in a school where we teach Environmental science as a separate paper and I used to create the awareness among the students. We have a special group of students called National Green Corps(NGC) ,they are trained to grow and maintain trees within the school campus and in their homes. Besides these we conduct special rallies to create awareness among common people, special competitions relating with environmental issues to students. Even if we contribute very little towards this one it will help a lot to the future generation.

I pay little attention to this sort of thing but I do try to conserve electricity, water, and other things that could do damage to the environment. It isn't that I don't care about it, it's just that I try not to worry about it because I do not have complete control over it. I do my part and have to be content with that. I believe the biggest problem is that everyone doesn't contribute or conserve to make improvements. Many know about the problem and complain about it but when push comes to shove they seem to ignore the warnings and continue to do the things they shouldn't.
