have any of you thought as to why is india so upset that saddam husein was executed in the manner that he was today morning?
well for the educated citizens of india the reason is two fold, namely the believe and rightly so,that every accused has a right to a fari trial especially where one's life is concerned!and nearly all of the educated citizens of india were one in the opinion htat the trial of saddam hussein was anything but fair!
the second is that they do not think that the head of state should have been stripped of dignity even in his death that was so wrong.actually india is one of the few countries where there are demonstrations agaist saddams execution!
as for the rest of the population well they empathise with the iraqio leader fo they feel that he shoudlhave been given a fair trial and even they can make out that did not happen!
so that is why india objected and also india shares a very emotional linkage with both iran and iraq!

i think since there r many muslims in india, there is resistance to it . there r 2 categories of people -who want saddam to be killed an dwho dont want him to be killed. and basically india is a nation which is always for peace and is full of mercy.

thank you both for your great comments.basically i think that people are angry that saddam was executed this way not just becasue he is a muslim but also becasue of the lack of fair play.either way we are not happy.and the sad part of all this is that iraq is slowly but surely heading to a civil war!

how bad he is.

and also sir.... for me they hang Mr. Hussein in a wrong way... they hurry up to hang him w/out the agree of the people, ok... we put that it's OK to hang him...but not the time of EID of the Muslim's because it's a holy day for all the Muslim's and also the day for haj same like in a christian we are celebrating the day of Jesus christ. and saddam also are a Muslim and they didn't respect it. I'm not a Muslim...but I'm respecting their belief and traditions here in Kuwait. although he is a bad president in whole world sir, i think it's not good to hang him w/out knowing a public. that's only my opinion sir i hope nobody can misunderstood:)

I am glad justice was served. I am happy and not surprise of the judgment. Sadam should also pay for all the people he killed. His life is not even enough to me. He's been soo cruel and very mean to people during his regime. He has no right to live in this world. I agree with the hanging.
