I mean their crazy evil dictator is dead, they have the chance of a lifetime to get serious about a real government.
But what do they do? they plant car bombs, kill and torture each other, become suicide bombers and generally preach hatred towards other citizens that dont agree. You would think that after several thousands years of living in the same area, they could get it together.
in order for people to live together they are going to have to agree on some things even if they dont want to... thats called being civil. I no longer feel sorry for them as i once did. they are blowing it big time.

They are making themslves out to be fools, not me my friend. Anyone that fills a car with bombs and parks it at a food market and kills little children and families ON PURPOSE is not someone i NEED to understand. He is just an idiot.
especially after 3 years of fighting for freedom for these people, so please dont tell me what i do and dont know, I SEE IT ON TV EVERYDAY.

It is interesting how what we see on t.v. is something we take as gospel truth and the whole story. lol. T.V. the new Bible.
You said that people who put car bombs in front of markets and kill children are people you don't "need" to understand. Maybe your choice of words was wrong, or maybe you are just wrong. But, never the less your statement is the most illogical thing I've heard all day. If someone is out there killing our children that is EXACTLY the type of person you NEED to UNDERSTAND! If we are to defeat a strong enemy than we MUST understand that enemy. If we do not understand then we rely on luck to win.
I disagree totally with what these people are doing. But, I'm also a student of the canons of war. I know for a fact that it is stupidest thing in the world to go into battle without wanting to understand your enemy.
For those who are not out there fighting the battle directly it is our responsibility to understand why these people do what they do. With that understanding we can be sure to provide any assistance we can to improve things on the home front. There are people in this country being harassed even though they are OBVIOUSLY innocent. But they are harassed because of their nationality. Worst of all this harassment goes on in our own country, a county founded on the principles of equality. Yet, it isn't out of character for our own country to be discriminatory.
Discrimination is at the heart of the problem and only when we as a nation are free of this will we be able to contribute to bring its end.
This war that we decided to go into, I agree that something needed to be done when the Twin towers were bombed. But, what was done was not done properly. That is why the people of Iraq are doing as they are. Of course it is their fault as much if not more than our own. You can not go to someone punch them in the nose and expect them to thank you. Even if you were doing the right thing by punching them, and even if you are just retaliating.
You can not expect a nation that has pain and suffering that has lasted for over centuries, and is as deep as theirs to be overcome overnight.
Finally, what you see on t.v., it is funny that you take that crap as truth and the whole story. Seek out alternate news sources on the net. Find people who live closer to that actual war who can give you more direct news. Don't just believe what you’re told. And, do you even know anything about their culture? Educate yourself.

I wish for world peace. And as far as I'm concerned, I don't know what to say cause I didn't know what exactly is going on, but every news I heard about the Iraqi's, it's obviously is like a devil thing to do. I'm apologizing about what I've said, I dont want to offend anybody but you see, killing is in the 10 commandments of God. If they love God, they should start doing something for love and peace not war. People keep on trying to explain good and right things but if a person doesnt want to listen, I think every opinions aint worth it. =(

There are always a certain section of society who are against the progress of it.I feel these very people must be planting bombs n rioting.Even though saddam was a dictator he still had his fan following. So i guess certain people in iraq feel that injustice has been done or something like that.Since the dictator is no more, these people will calm down in due course of time.

In general, yes. They are not very smart people in the traditional sense. There are many many people there that are illiterate or don't have an education.
I think this compounds their problems, since they don't realize how dangerous their situation is and how careful they have to be in rebuilding their country.

i agree, they really dont know how lucky they are... what is happenning is that some of their local tribal leaders have become star struck by the possibility of power... and of Al Queda is involved.
i believe then need to be disarmed, where are they getting the bombs?

what you say is not true at all, it is what you may wish. But Saddam had signed a peace agreement from the first gulf war. he did not keep his side of the agreememnt.
either way a Preemptive Strike is always an option for any nation.

I think Bush is stupid, and some Americans are stupid for believing in an injust, purporseless war in Iraq, where so many innocent lives are being taken.

so... you would rather that the Iraq people NOT control their own country?..
if you believe that then yes the war is purposeless i guess.

There are two factors. When combined together, the result is a disaster. The first is of course the Arab problem. Arabs are traditionally through the generations warlike people who are never happy. They don't know the way of peace. Couple this together with the fact that they are an exclusively Islamic state and you have a recipee for disaster.

There are crazy people EVERYWHERE and violence excist everywhere, There are millions of people in Iraq who wants to have a peaceful and happy life, so now Iraqies are NOT crazy in general - but ofcourse the people who keep the "war" going are not normal!

Many Iraqui's were completely opposed to their evil dictator from the beginning. And when even more realized the type of person he was the disliked him even more. There are still many radical followers of Sadam but we shouldn't judge all Iraqui's by the actions of one group

That's quite a rude and racist statement. I am sure you are offending a lot of people with it. Not everyone over there is acting like that, only a few, you shouldn't generalize like that. And, it doesn't mean they are stupid, it just means they don't agree with what has been done.

i do agree that some, if not many, iraqis are stupid, planting bombs and killing innocent people along with themselves. but you must remember what they believe. from a religious point of view they believe that if they sacrifice themselves for something that they think is good then they will be worshipped in their afterlife. i am not postive on this matter, but have only heard this reason from other people, so if you are iraqi and think that i am an idiot for saying this, keep it to yourself please:)

yes i hope they do, most normal people are hoping for this. I dont mean to say ALL the iraqis are stupid, but they are being duped by greedy leaders from differing groups.
