The Lhasa Apso has the characteristics of keen watchfulness, and very hardy. He is easily trained and responsive to kindness. Their beautiful dark eyes are appealing as they wait for some mark of appreciation for their efforts. The Lhasa Apso is happy, usually long lived, adaptable and good in families with children......
If anyone has this dog then do comment and discuss about how to handle...
And also discuss the funny thing that your dog has done...

I have a senior Lhasa.. She's the smartest dog I've ever owned! She goes to the door and barks when she needs to go outside (that was on her, I didn't teach her that) and she barks at the door when she wants to come in.
She loooovvves attention and hates to be left by herself! She's VERY dominant and actually scares the neighbor PITBULL away when he wants to play!
When she was younger she loved kids.. but now in her later years, she'd prefer not to be bothered. She's a great listener, lets the baby play a little rough with her and does not bite/growl which is awesome!
She has to sleep in my bed every night!
The downfall of this dog is she has developed this "odor" no matter how many times you bathe her, she just has this smell.
Funny thing she's done? other then tag team with the chihuahua to open/shut doors... she really hasn't done anything memorable that was funny!

I have a 16 1/2 year old Lhasa Apso / Shih Tzu mix that acts very young for her age ... my vet says this breed of dog has the life span of up to 25 years but on the down side this breed of dog is also vulnerable to be diabetic. My dog is diabetic but that doesn't seem to stop her.
Lhasa Apso's thrive on love, being held, and a lot of attention and when given the love and attention they think they need, they will pretty much do whatever they are trained to do, at least mine does.
They were bred in China for people to love over them, spoil them, and they seem to like having their coat groomed frequently, very dainty critters.
When my dog wants something and no one is paying attention to her she leaps up onto a family members chest and barks at them right in their face ... of course she is wagging her tail the whole time. They are cute little things.
Do you have a Lhasa Apso?

I had a dog.
It was an excellent dog.
Therefore when I age child it always went with me for school and he waited me to study stops later coming back with me.
A time a boy cried out with me and it bit it, this was so pretty that I remember until today.
