What is the point of posting on mylot?, you could post all day and only make 10 cents.
The people who own this site are the only ones actually making any real money, whilst we the posters get a measly cut of the profit, probably 10% between us all.
Apart from money have you ever learned or read anything that was actualy worth reading here,,has anything on mylot been of any use to you what so ever?.
This is not a rave or a rant at mylot i just want to know what people think of the site.....jimmy

You have 76 posts and you have been a member for three weeks. I have 115 posts and I have been a member for three days, and ALL of my posts are quality posts. So you don't really know what it means to "post all day". Either take a typing class so that you can type faster (if that's your issue), or actually come online "all day". If I posted all day, I'd have 500 posts per day - I can do 60-70 in an hour an a half.

i have read through alot of posts on mylot with people moaning that they are on all day and they only make a couple of cents ,as in the opening statement of my question, i am only after peoples opinions about my lot my opinion is that mylot is a fun place to ask questions and meet new people if i make any money from it its a bonus but i am not on the site to make money.

That's why you wouldn't want to be on here for the money, more for the discussion or to have a laugh. :)

I post maybe half the day and still make at least 5$ a day. My highest daily earning was 12$. And I have read a few things that were helpful to me - I posted a discussion about doll customization the other day and learned a great tip on how to dye serran without it clumping. I stick with discussions from my interests and that friends make for the most part, then poke around elsewhere for things to respond to.

I'm a disabled invalid, actually. I can barely get out of bed half the time. Trust me, I'd like to have a life and a rewarding job, rather than writing freelance articles for 50$ a pop. But thanks to a crushed spine and hips, I'm in bed through the recovery stage.
Thanks for making assumptions.

I enjoy it and I have found many discussions that interested me. I don't do it just for the money but I used to do it for free on Q&A. Had nearly 5,000 point in there wish it had been here!! Now I want to know how does myLot profit from us? They couldn't be selling our postings if they are not worth reading..who would buy them unless they were the earth shattering work of a genius.

I am not sure how much you can earn for this, may be not at all satisfactory in terms of time you will be spending for your posting. But somtimes you will be able to learn few new things. But i do feel the yahoo answer is much better to solve your askings. from my experience i saw none of the internet income is a good one.

I find some of the discussions interesting, To be honest I only post to discussions that interest me otherwise I guess my points would be much higher. As far as the money goes It would be nice if money was more because it would be good way to supplement my income. But that's not the reason I come here. I come here for the friends and discussions. BTW as far as typing speed some of us can't type fast because of medical. So it's nice that you are a fast typist but are you posting to any and all discussions or just the ones that interest you?

I think you have to put way too much effort in for very little payback. As far as the discussions go, most of them are pretty inane. I find yahoo answers has more interesting topics there. I don't think I'll be quitting my day job.

Agreed 100 %.
Do not heed to ones who do not agree to you.
They will also have it's essence one day like you and me.

When I'm bored, I post on here as a way of connecting with others from all over, I find people interesting but if someone annoys me I can easily avoid the conversation, plus make some pocket change in my paypal account. You are right though, it pretty much is a pointless thing to do and if I were working outside the home I wouldn't even mess with the whole thing. It does take alot of effort to make any money on here and I can't even image staying on this for half of the day.

I have met a few good and sensible people here and have learned information that would be most useful to me. I share information too and being here is quite fun. Earn a little here but don't let Mylot prevent you from doing things more important and set your priorities as you will only make cents here or a few dollars if you are looking for money you will get disappointed.

hey jimmy, I've just signed up here but it does seem like a good place to meet some people that have the same interest as you. Learning anything new---I'll wait and see on that one. As far as making money, I haven't found any sites that pay big. It's all just fun!!! Happy New Year plantit1

I have only been at this for six days. I have already made over my pay out minimum. I have learned several useful things. Sure, there is a lot of junk on the site, but there are some great things as well. Any bucks I make are better than posting on forums with the same quality for free.

well that wasnt the case for me. i made like 4 cents my first day and then i made 75 cents the next. how are the owners making any money we're not paying them to be here. yes i've learned things and read things worth reading. yes people have been of use here. if you dont want to be here then dont be here. because me and other users are here to learn and get information and have fun. i like this site a lot better than yahoo answers dont have the jerks or stupid stuff here most of the time. people here are regular people like you and me so to say we are no use is to say that the people in the world have no use for anything.
