How often do you get flowers?

I usually get flowers on my anniversary, and sometimes on my birthday, but that's about it. Yesterday my husband bought me a bouquet of pink tinged yellow roses, just because. Makes me remember why I married him, lol. Anyway, how often do you get flowers? or candy or whatever. Or if you're the type who gives flowers more than gets them, how often do you get your significant other something like that?

What a wonderful thing that was for your husband to buy you a bouquet and for no particular reason other than to show his love for you. We have always lived in the country, or at least for the last 31 years anyway, so I don't often get flowers and if I do, then someone has to go into town (100 km) and pick them up. My husband and son will buy me something special for birthdays, anniversary and Christmas.
We have a tradition in our family where we always give each other one "tacky" present for every special event. It started when our son was very young and used to find these absolutely junky things that he wanted to buy. This year I got a belated birthday present from our son becaue he didn't arrive home for 3 weeks after my birthday. The tacky one was an absolutely awful photo frame as well as the good one which was a pair of pearl earrings. Christmas I got a bottle of cheap stinky perfume as well as a pearl pendant to match the earrings. We gave him a Wooden Spooners print of his football team for his birthday and 2 Christmas Carol CD's for Christmas. They were his tacky presents. :)

Aww that's nice of him!
I get flowers on my birthday and special occasions, sometimes "just because." I love surprises like that.
I write my boyfriend poetry often and always send him silly e-cards (even though we live in the same house lol), it's nice to see his face light up when he gets an email from me like that.

the just because kind are the best kind, aren't they? although I have to admit I get pretty upset if I don't get the special occasion(birthday/anniversary) kind. I sometimes slip a little note in my husbands lunch, not too often tho, or he gets razzed by the guys at work, lol.
