What did you think of the Eragon movie?

I haven't see yet, but I thimk it's fantastic into the promo, is it true???

I was very disappointed in the movie. :( They left out way too much. I think they should have spent more time on it. It could have been as good as the Lord of the Rings movies, but they left way too much of the story out, and what they didn't leave out, they changed. Oh and not to mention, I'm bitter about them leaving out Solembum!

I enjoyed the movie, I liked the book way better but still thought the movie was good. It could have been better, I didn't like Arya, she didn't even look like an elf. And the Urgals just looked like people, they didn't have any horns. And the Raa'zac (or however its spelt can't be bothered checking right now lol) are supposed to be the only 2 left in the world....and the shade just like made them? that was a little weird. But my boyfriend now wants to read the books after seeing the movie, so I think it would have been better to see the movie before reading the book. I think with most movies from books you're always going to be a little disappointed

I knew that they changed a lot going in and tried to watch it with an open-mind and try not to think of the book. Unfortunately, I just don't think that's possible. The movie buzzes through the plot so fast that the only way to understand what's going on is if you read the book. It was a big mistake bringing in a new director. He mades the battles pretty spectacular but the whole film felt like it was in a rush to get to the next fight. Also, I'm afraid that so much was changed that it won't be possible for them to stay true to the other books.
