I tend to retain water during certain times.. i mean so badly that my fingers hurt because of the retention. Is there something that you do to help with retention?
I've heard some women take "Alfalfa".. I've tried that but didn't notice much of a difference. I've also heard to drink lots and lots of water and I do that but still..
Any tips or suggestions?

Does your doctor recommend a water pill? My husband's grandmother has a big problem with fluid collecting in her feet and ankles, and her doctor gave her a water pill to help with this, but she doesn't like to take it because it makes her go to the bathroom so much, and her feet really hurt her so she doesn't like having to keep getting up to go the restroom.
I wish you well with this. I'm sure you probably look at your poor fingers sometimes and think about sticking a pin in them! I hope you find a good solution soon.

Actually, I do think that sometimes LOL
I go to the dr soon and may talk to her about prescribing a water pill. I work from home, so having to go to the bathroom all time wouldn't bother me. I'd rather do that than this almost painful water retention LOL.

I don't get it as badly as you do, but I find that a bit of exercise helps as well as drinking a lot (6+ glasses/day) of water. If that doesn't work for you there are over the counter things like Midol and water pills that are suppose to help

Thank you. I've never tried Midol believe it or not. I'll check to see if that has something in it to help with water retention.
