ive seen alot of bad press lately about people getting nasty dogs
staffys english bull terriers rottweilers ect
they have not mentioned anything about these dogs being out of controll or biteing anyone
just that they shouldent be keeped as pets
ive had rottweilers and have a staffy and they have been soft as kittens
do you thing its all down to the fact they look mean

and have my mums little scottish terrier liveing with me
hes only arround the size of the staffys head but hes the boss
well second boss after the cat if the cat decides to eat the staffys food he lets it
walks away and sits in the chair looking sad till the cat lets him have it back

That is so true, our cat rules the house. The dogs wouldn't DARE eat her food! She gets to pick the best sleeping spot in the house (usually on our bed) and the dogs go everywhere else. Sometimes the dogs will try to sneak in our room and she gives a little growl and they back off. She's 13 yrs old and definitely the queen.

They definitely do, I have Rottweilers and people always say, do you let those dogs around your kids? Well, why not? My male Kujo sits right between the 2 car seats in the car. At home he thinks his place is on the most convenient lap. One time he was asleep under the porch and the mailman came up and startled him. He jumped up and barked, the mailman maced him... he didn't do anything but bark. If that had been my labrador I bet he wouldn't have got maced. It really makes me angry when people assume things about a dog based on their breed. I got another of my Rotts from a couple who found out they were going to have a baby and didn't want that kind of dog around their baby... I don't understand some people...

1 of my old rotts would run barking at the door when the mailman or visitior knocked
but if they opend the door he would run away and hide under the table he thought he was hard when safe behind the door... lol
all the ones ive had were good with my brothers kids
1 use to curl up and goto sleep with then
another use to let them climb all over him take him for walks round the house with his ears
