Why do men go for Japanese women

Why is it that men in western countries seem to find Japanese women attractive but men in Japan seem to find western women attractive?
Here in Tokyo, the idea of beauty is completely western. In department stores, most of the posters and even mannequins have a western face - usually with blonde hair and blue eyes. When we turn on the TV our commercials are filled with western women too. Many Japanese women (not me!) even resort to surgery to make their eyes bigger or rounder. Cosmetic surgery is also popular for increasing bust size and making noses pointier.
However, when I was in the USA, I noticed that many men are interested in asian women. Many models and actresses were asian. Many western men even told me quite directly that they were very attracted to asian women.
It's interesting. I'd like to know why you think this difference occurs?

I think that Asian women are considered exotic and sexy. Im a woman and Im not gay, but I know that my husband, before he met me really liked Asian women. Im sure he still does, he just wont make it obvious because Im not asian. I also think that western men like the culture of asian women who are very attentive to their men not only in the home but in bed as well. At least that is what our culture seems to think of Asian women. I could be wrong.
But tell me, what is your secret? he he!

haha!!! thank you for your comment. being attentive to men is definitely a part of asian culture, but i think it's declining. perhaps a good thing!!

ive allways liked japanese women
for some reason they all look very cute sweet and inocent when smileing
the culture
voices sound very sweet
skin tone is exotic
thats my reasons anyway may be different for other men

It's all about what;s 'exotic'. A lot of westerners also find Indian and Italian or Greek women to be very appealing. I remember when I first started planning a trip to Japan, a Japanese friend warned me I'd be hit on a lot over there, because I'm blond haired and blue eyed. Or I was, at the time. I'm still planning and I've dyed my hair!
Personally, I do find a lot of Asian women to be very attractive. But I find just as many American women to be attractive. Though I've noticed that a lot of Asian women looking *healthier* than a lot of American women, and that definitely adds to how attractive a woman looks.

well i think western mwn drea of them maye cox they wish to be treated like men in the east hahaha.... in ur dreams! hahahaha!
by the way not every1 is attracted towards asian women but if theres one like the 1 in that pic of urs then ofcourse its not that hard to understand ;)

What you're observing is definitely true. I think it must have to do with the difference, I mean the men are gooing for something that seems "different" or "exotic" to them.

I would assume that it would be, But for some reason I really hear much more about white guys being obsessed with Asian women than woman being interested in Asian men. I wonder why.

i dont know about other men, but i dont find asians atractive. i am not racist or anything, i do have asian friends at school. but i just dont find asian women attractive. i might be described as a more american person (althought i am australian haha) because i like blonde hair, blue eyes, and not too skinny but without excess fat

I guess people are quite tired and bored of seeing the same faces on the streets, offices, academies and everything in their country. Therefore, they fantasize other women, they find them more exotic and sexy.
Secondly, Asian women are always considered very beautiful and seductive. They are famous for their outfits, fashion, sense of glamour and even way of socializing and their traditions and customs. That i guess, is the biggest reason western people are attracted towards Asian women.

it's answer not give easily.well for me it is bcoz of simplicity and a specail feature which present in asian women let me to say that asian women has more attraction in simplicity than a western woman.mostly asian woman has it's complete dress not like western(not all but some).and asian dont want that some people see her and praise her beauty.and there is a difference of a sea between a asian and western woman.well if you think and write difference between asian and western woman then you know a lot of things occur in asian woman that not have western woman.well i like your discussion which is very different i really like it.

Its mostly that opposites o attract as men are attracted to women so taking the corolary different races are having some affinity for the other races , and so the above situation . Like myself an indian and i am attracted to the western gals and also to the japanese women in the same breath...love u all gals

i think its becuase of that asian or westerners and the likes tend to go for the not so ordinary. like they are used to looking blondes every day and they want some thing for a change. in buisness there is some thing like variety sells or some thing to that effect. greetings. : )

In my view all women in earth are attactive but one has to look from that angle any how in my opinion japanese are more cultured and diplomatic & more caring any how?

I think that after the WW2 the soul of japanese nation become more humble than before (after being defeated) and that created angels and flowers instead of women but that also was not so good to the men of their nation. They must revive their strength and old and gorgeous power ...
Women are lovely flowers, sensitive souls that feel the hearts of men and knows to permeate them and make that celestial osmosis between the two of them.

I think most guys like asian girls. I think japaneese girls look cute and their eyes are very cute to see. Small eyes, small smiles, small nose, etc makes the japeneese girls attractive. The way the girl looks, behaves, personality, charms, etc attract people. Most Asian girls have charms and something that attract others in the first look. this is the thing I think makes people attractive to asian girls.

And I thought that Japanese men have a thing for Filipinas who are called Japayukis. Perhaps this is the result of the ban placed by your gov't on "overseas entertainers".
Western men find Asian interesting because they do not have freckles and are subservient to men, especially foreign men whom Asian women think are

actually you are wrong about the freckles ;)
maybe it is uncommon for asians to have freckles, but yes, there are some that have them!
one famous asian is miss lucy liu, an actress in north america. i didn't find her amazing-looking at first, until i noticed her freckles. for me it's what made her, a 'nice-looking' girl into a 'great-looking' girl :)
