1979 stingray corvette quote/ price...how much are they worth?

i was recently in a car accident and my beautiful '79 stingray was totalled by a drunk driver. i need to find solid proof of quotes and prices for my lawyer to give the insurence companies. They only want to give me 2,000! i put more than 4,000 into the car! I was thinking around the 10,000 area...but i have been unsuccessful in trying to prove the worth of my vette. can anyone help me out here? email:sillylittlenunu@aol.com
