How come it's so important to American girls/boys.And what the mystery behind that? In Hong Kong,16 years old birthday is nothing, but very old people's birthday would be huge to us(80 or older)we would throw him a huge birthday party to celebrate their long life and we called it Big Birthday.

The only reason I can think that the 16th birthday is a big thing here is because that's when most teenagers are able to get their driver's license. I'm not really sure what else makes turning 16 special. I got my license when I was 15 so turning 16 was really nothing special :).

I think it's old men who think girls of 16 are sweet. I felt terrible at 16 - spotty, self-conscious and plump. (My mum thought I was gorgeous though.)

In japan they live a life of hard work and they dont waste time. we all will calculate in mins or hours..But Japanese calculate their timings in Nano seconds for an example we say that I will be there at 10.00 But the japanese will say like this 10.00.25 sec see their eficiency in timings itself from this we can understand in timings itself they are taking such an efficieny as per health and care they will be taking more importance..so only they celebrate their such a BIG BIRTHDAYS.
