I don't think alot of people understand depression. It is not something a person can control by themselves. I have suffered for a very long time. Mine is clinical depression as apposed to circumstancual depression. Not sure what one yours would fall under. I think you get to start a new one. lol Side effects depression. I am on lexapro along with wellbuteran xr and a few other things. I am fine with both meds and depression most of time now. Just a few dark spots now and then. Nothing like it used to be. I have tried many of the antidepressants and to me this one is a little on the mild side. Paxel is the worst and Zoloft is the best. Thats just my experience now, of course everyone may respond differently. I will give you a few tips that I have learned along the way. I wish someone had told me this stuff in the beginning. Sometimes the doctors think to tell ya this stuff and sometimes not. #1 Start off very slow. Even if directions say take one per day. Take half per day, actually 1/4 is even better. I have had to do this. Just like one might ween off here ween on. This way your side affects aren't so strong cause the medication don't enter your body so fast and strong. Slowly work up to directed amount. #2 Take it at night. You will be able to sleep through alot of the peak time of side effects and gets milder, more tolerable through day and days. #3 Give medication fair chance. Antidepressants take time to get in your system and start making a difference. You may not be able to see a difference for a month or maybe even two. Here is where you get to practice your patience.
sorry so long, hope this helps, if you want to talk further message me. hang in there
