favourite battle in the lord of the rings

I love the battle of Helm's Deep and the march of the Ents as well and when Saruman showed Grima Wormtongue his army

Judging by the movie I would say Palennor Fields. The charge of the Rohirrim was phenomenal. Imagine the rush if you were on horse back charging 200,000 orcs!! Helms Deep came first so we kind of knew what to expect when we came to Palennor Fields in terms of graphics and the visuals. Both great scenes but Palennor Fields wins ;-)

Both of them were heroic battles ! But i like Palennor Fields .

I found the pelennor fields battle was more better as it was far better described in the book!!!!!!!!!!!

In the movie, definately Helms Deep, no doubt. In the book, Pelannor Fields or the March of the Ents.

hmm... i would like to list some of my faves (based on the movie). battle at helm's deep, march of the ents to Isengrad, battle with the goblins and balrog, balrog vs gandalf, battle in gondor (with the wraiths flying around) i'll go for the battle of helm's deep since i was really catching my breath while i watched it in theater.

The Helm Deep wast the best man....simply wonderful ddescription ......
