we have a tropical set up, filled with real plants and cichlids (they seem agressive if you attempt to put other types of fish in)

I also have a tank. Mine is a 55 gallon. And right now I just have a few fish in it. I can tell you this much, you having those cichlids.. they ARE an aggressive fish! They should have told you that at the pet store. There are a few other kinds of fish that you can put in with them, but you would need to ask at the pet store which ones won't be bothered or eaten by the cichlids.

Cichlids can only be kept with other cichilds. Or species very close to them like the parrot fish. Other fish would not be able to survive in a cichlid tank.

At home we have a fish tank with lots of fish. We have different kinds. We have guppies and a lot of other little fish like that. It is fun to see them chasing after each other.

I have a solo betta kept in a small tank in my room. He's really beautiful and interesting to watch. I wanted a planted tank with small fish like guppies and tetras but it is too costly to set up. Morever, I don't have that kind of space at home.

We have a large tank with tetras, mollies, catfish, algae eater and plecostomus. In another tank we have guppies. Just guppies. Hundreds of guppies. And we have a small (2gal) tank for the newborn fish so the big fish don't eat them.

my dad's fish- flower horn - dad's favorite fish- flower horn inside a simple aquarium
my dad loves flower horns. they cannot live in the same aquarium together with the others. so, his aquariums are just plain and simple.

Right now I have a ten gallon tank with disserent kinds of small tetras and various live plants. I used to keep a tank with cichlids. There were two african cichlids with a jack dempsey and your right, they are real aggresive fish. In the future, I would like to set up a saltwater tank but hear that they are really high maintinance.
