There is an absolute falsehood that many people are believing. The big lie is that President Bush killed Sadaam. President Bush did topple Sadaam from his throne of brutality. For that, the world should thank him. But it was the Iraqi people, his own country that delivered justice. It was Iraq that held the trial - there was no US involvement in it at all. It was the Iraqi people who sentenced him to death and put the rope on his neck. And it is the Iraqi people that scheduled the execution. Finally, it was the Iraqi people, not President Bush, that were dancing in the streets after the execution - rejoicing that the monster will not rise again! Therefore, the attacks against Bush are stupid and meaningless.

saddam was toppled from his throne by Bush,....so he was a prisoner of war but he was never treated one. the government formed in iraq was directed by bush ,...they did what was ordered. after the war, troops remained in iraq can u answer y?.....its so simple he wanted saddam to be killed, bcause of what did saddam did to his father .....he wanted to take revenge on him .....so he did this thing , he didnt want to do thiz in the open so he used the iqari government as a puppet in his heart n then he killed saddam.

The whole thing about President Bush doing this because of his father is the stupidest idea the anit-american democrats have ever come up with. President Bush is a good leader and is aimed at what is best for our country. If the Democrats would get on board and help, things would be even better.

Ohhh, no...lol. President Bush is not a good president at ALL...he's the reason why the United States has a trillion dollar debt or whatever. Lots of other crazy things, ESPECIALLY because he can't even TALK. lol. I can't stand him.

You are almost right. President Bush is not only a good President, he is a great President. The only person who would disagree with that is a democrat, and they choose the likes of John Kerry and Bill Clinton - both losers to the max!

I agree. Saddam was hanged for his atrocities against his own people and his own people hanged him. Bush may have been a part of the whole story, but he didn't start it and he didn't end it.

I agree. In fact, there were not even any Americna witnesses allowed and our new agencies were forced to get our updates from Middle Eastern news agencies.

Thank you for making this point. I am so sick of people blaming President Bush for everything that happens in this world. He is one man that is doing his best to make this nation a good one. No one is perfect, but we are expected to put our best foot forward. People need to get off their high horses and quite blaming others for everything. It doesn't matter what the topic is - someone will blame someone else for the outcome. Come on people - take responcibility!

someone who thinks. Man about time. I to have been annoyed by people saying Bush kill Saddam. It was a court of Saddam's country not the USA. Even John Howard said the same thing.

i think your right about this, its fine to find fault with someone in a postition of power like Bush and to question what they do as leaders (and hes at fault for a great many things as far as im concerned) but at least keep it real. I couldnt put it better than you have described so ill suffice it to say that i agree it was absolutly not Bush that killed Sadaam

I have read many posts on this site that have gone both directions with this and it just seems to me that the bottom line is that Saddam committed horrendous acts against his own people and even if Pres. Bush had a grudge against him, does it matter? On his own Saddam was responsible for thousands of deaths, when George W was probably still in college. Should we bring Saddam back? I did not vote for the current Pres. but I think that he must be one heck of a powerful person if this was only his doing, (which I do not think)

People in those countries fall victim to their national media's propaganda. They don't know any better and this ignorance will create more war and animosity but who are they supposed to believe, us? Why would they? It's a catch 22 almost. Meanwhile they let the propaganda define who they are.

you are EXACTLY right!!! I read a story that Iraqi-Americans were celebrating in Dearborn. Bush did not execute saddam, but he made it possible for justice tro prevail... we have some things to be proud of this past year my friend, amidst all the criticism from the world over, we can have some pride. happy new year to you.

But i think diffreently. I think there are bigger political agendas for killing Saddam. Invasion of Iraq was on the behest of finding Nuclear weapons and bio weapons but the US troops reportedly found none. Can we justify the killing of so many innocent American Soldiers, Iraqi Soldiers and civilians? Second point, does violence (capital punishment) of Saddam provide a solution to the terrorism in the world or does it provide a solution to any other issue. Bush has called the trial of Saddam as 'fair'! Isn't that incredible? (Refer www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/122006)

saddam hussain execution - saddam hussain execution - a barbarian act by the US-Big daddy of terrorism
hmmmmmmmm may be you are a fellow american, see it form a different side, even though the trail was in iraq and was done bye iraqi people, all of them was under the control of US, and not to mention the monkiesh activities of bush and his father...... i feel the trial should have been fair, and hanging.....come on man is it human rights violation? think in a broad way......

I agree, it was the Iraqui people who did everything except topple his wrold and capture him. Not to down the US (I am proud to love here), but we could never execute someone that quickly. I live in Ok, and here at least we wait years before they are actually executed.

Honestly I think all these discussions about Sadaam since it has happened are quite redundant. Do we really need 10 discussions about one subject?

I don't care for the president very much but one of the only good things he has done was capture Sadaam. But that was all he did to him. The people who delt with his trial, sentance and exacution were Iraqi people. Hopefully people will realize that soon. We will all sleep better now.

I think that Bush is unfairly maligned. Whilst Saddam remained in power, a lot of harm against humanity in general was being done, and Bush provided the catalyst needed to rid the world of this menace. Once done, it was indeed the Iraqies themselves who took over.
