I am from england so my choice is definately football. I cant see what you Americans love so much about American football. I have tried to watch it several times but i just cant get into it. Football is just at a totally different level in my opinion, there will never be another sport that will even come close to it. It probobly a good thing that it isnt massive in America because they would probobly always win everything if it was. Good topic, thanks, Simon.

First, I love football (soccer). I love playing the game and I love working hard for it. It even helped me with my asthma. Second, I don't feel that American football levels with football when it comes to skills. The ball handling in football is different from the other. In football you have to move as if your feet were your hands juggling the ball while running towards the goal. There is also a different kind of grace that is unique to footballers, especially the experienced ones. These guys and girls run like the wind and always, always seem to kick with no effort. In football, you work hard for the goal, the kind of hard core playing that seem to not exist in a game with scores that pile up to 50 or a hundred like American football and basketball. One goal, sometimes is all that it takes, one beautiful kick right through the keep. Its a feeling of victory mixed with relief and gratitude that always find having such freedom, much like running in the wind. Football, is simply a great game.

Football, or soccer as it's called by Americans, is definitely the better sport. I have a blog with some videos that will show you skill, speed, talent and more. http://footballvids.blogspot.com/. Also, football players don't need a time out every minute. I have to be honest, living in the states is hard, because I love football, and just don't understand the hype about American football. They don't even use their feet most of the time, why call if football? There is only one sport that deserves that name. It's Football.

I prefer football (the original one, english one, however you want to call it), simply because it's much more entertaining and it's running through my veins ever since I know myself. I believe American Football is not as exciting, there's too many interrupions and rules that don't make all that much sense, plus it seems they rather have a nicer team hurting each other out than actually playing a sport.
