Party Help

I saw this elsewhere online and thought it was a fun question :) If you were hosting a party (perhaps your New Year's Eve festivities!) and you had an unlimited budget to hire ONE service person to help you, who would you hire? A cook to prepare all of the food; a waitperson to keep everyone's glasses and plates filled; or a maid to clean everything up? I don't even have to think about this one... LOL... sign me up for the MAID, please! How about you?

I would definitely choose the cook! I would not have to plan the menu or somehow manage to find the time to prepare anything. Oh, that would be SO wonderful! But, we would still use paper plates and cups. : )

I was so excited when nicely colored or designed disposable partyware became more affordable LOL I mean, some of our dollar stores carry amazing party stock! It sure does make the clean up a LOT easier :)

Well those sound nice!! I don't think I've seen them here yet... but I'll keep an eye out for them, thanks! :) We've come a long way since those huge rolls of white paper that you cut to size with scissors, haven't we? LOL!

Isn't that the truth! Have you seen the new disposable "party" tablecloths that have lace on them? They are so pretty and actually liven up the table instead of those plain, plastic table coverings.

I would LOVE to have an awesome cook! Imagine how relaxing that could be, letting someone else do all of that prep work. Half the time I'm holed up in the kitchen when I throw a party, so I'd rather clean up the mess later and enjoy myself before and during the festivities. I like to cook, but I love when soemone cooks for me even more!

You know, you're right... I, too, get stuck in the kitchen through a lot of parties. I run back and forth with food and such... but I guess I enjoy it. I like the parts of planning the menu and preparing the various dishes -- but, of course, the last time I threw a really big party, I had a lot more free time on my hands to actually DO the preparation LOL I might have to switch my vote from maid to cook... I can get my husband to clean up! ;)

i think i'd love to find a person who would do it all!...lol. But if i had to choose just one, i'd also say he maid! The thing that i absolutely detest is having to clean up after a party, or holiday meal. I'm always so tired, that just looking at all the mess makes me want to scream and run away!...lol
