you can use the mcafee website.. they offer a ofline virus search tool which searches for virses in your computer from the internet itself... though this service is free... it takes a lot of time and the internet connection as to be constant

My one and only is Trendmicro.com Free and they dont give you a bunch of lies that you have viruses to scare you into buying their software
