Intel is much better as it can be readily upgraded anytime and yes new technology is being released day to day unlike amd which is now too obsolete to see as well as to hear about!

in this moment i think intel it's better than AMD, Intel has made core duo cpu in fact also smalles cpu it's better then AMD fx series.
Moreover quad core intel is demostrating much good. anyway we will be to see with new cpu by AMD "K8L" if the thinks will change. it's a realy a beutiful challege
i already own a intel quad core qx6700 extreme edition.. and.. it's realy fast.
i hope.. AMD wake up early.. becouse Intel run realy fast..

There are many factors/variables in selecting a PC - either desktop or laptop. Price, features, processor speed, battery life, screen size, memory, storage capacity, etc. are some of the main variables. If it comes down a unit with Intel or one with AMD, I'd look at the price and take the lower priced unit, because I've had both and not seen any difference - they both ran and didn't fail.

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because
--comparatively cheap
--high performance
--high stabilty
--greater support for gaming
i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2.
thank you!

What's good for all of consumers is that eventually both processors end up with the same feature, competitively-priced. Doesn't matter if its Intel or AMD. Just watch out for their first releases (even in softare). Wait until they get the bugs out first before buying.
