Art: Black and white or color?

Hi Eborsisk, Can't say I like it more, but I can say that I like dark black and white photography. Along with gloomy feeling, I like the mysterious feeling that they can have. I like Black and white Pinhole photography to. I tend to do a lot of work in photoshop with the black and white photography I do. Using levevels and curves and other adjustment layers to create surreal images. I love looking at what everyone is doing with black and white photography, so wondeful, and gives me lots of ideas. Digital cameras really give us a chance to explore photography. Do you shoot film, digital or both ?

I looked at your black and white art. Is it pencil, charcoal? Very strong drawings, I liked them. When you do black and white art, it's the black that makes the design

I love it all. Any colors, any kinds and all styles. I am an artist. I watercolor in mostly colors, but some pieces are black and white. I am also a rare scissor cutting silhouette artist. It really depends on the art with me. I like photography done in black and white or with an infrared filter. I also like art that is mostly black and white but has one color in it - like red or vibrant purple. Some art just looks better in color. But mostly I like muted colors and dark images.

I as well tend to like dark, gloomy art as well. I find black & white art captures so much more than sometimes color does. But sometimes then I find a little color looks a lot better than just black & white. For me it all depends upon the art itself & what it looks like..

I prefer black and white art to color. The different shades and shadows give a more dramatic effect than bright colors.

black and white because shades say many thing colorful also looks good but black and white portraits are very good .

I like both: black and white and color art. I've just started learning to draw and paint and I'm doing many exercises with hte pencil. I find very charming black and white drawings.

I really love B&W photography, it's a shame that digital cameras don't do B&W as well.

I like both for different things. Black and white for dramatic effects. I especially like black and white photography. My favorite however is Impressionism so of course I love color. I like bold colors too.

I have painted the wall of my rooms..i like black but if i painted my wall black was so sad..:) and I prefer to paint the moon on one side and the sun on the other side..:)
