Am I the only person who loves the ocean?

I put "ocean" on my interests list, and I'm all alone over there! Anyone else?
If so, do you dive? Snorkel? Wade? Or do you just tan on the beach?

You can't swim? Eek! Be careful, then.
You could always learn...? Wading is fun, but sometimes there's a pretty strong undertow that can knock you down if the weather's right for it.
It is beautiful. I love it on clear days when you can see really far.

I absolutely love the ocean. It's a spiritual place for me. Whenever we are near the beach I have to go to the ocean ( I currently live in the mountains) No matter how cold it is, I have to at least touch the water. I read a book one time that described Earth in this way -- ours is the water planet. whenever possible I like to get in the place where life began.

Me, too. (Well, kinda obviously, I guess. *g*) It's also a spiritual place for me, very much so. I am a "water person," meaning that's the element that's strongest in my personality of the five elements.
I know what you mean about touching the water. I have been known to swim when common sense just said it was way too cold. I will go in fully clothed (except for shoes) if the chance just happens to present itself and I don't have a suit.
I'm landlocked right now, too, and I hate that aspect of where we live. I used to live in Florida... Well, maybe some day we'll be back there.

Actually you are not alone. I too love the ocean just don't live by it. I love to walk on the sand and wade in the ocean and also play in the ocean. The salt water helps me to float when normally I do not swim without fins on my feet. Tanning is a bonus. I think that the ocean side lifestyle is a wonderful one with pretty houses and a relaxed lifestyle. I used to go once a year to visit relatives and stay a week or two and enjoyed all the beach had to offer.

I love the ocean and hope to be living near it later this year. I surf, dive, snorkel, sea kayak, tan, almost anything you can do at the ocean, parasail, it's awesome the way you can look out at the sky and feel like it reaches into eternity, as if the ocean never ends, its an awesome place to revel in God's presence.
