Have you seen this movie "The Holiday"? To me, it was a weird but fun idea to trade places with someone for a week or two, especially for workaholics like me (and for heartbroken people too, lol!) just to breathe 'fresh' air and for a quick change of ambience. How about you? Would you?

Yes, I saw "The Holiday" and really liked it. My husband and I discussed this notion after we saw the movie. Unfortunately we live with other people so we don't really have a house to swap, but we'd love to borrow someone else's place! Like maybe somewhere in Canada or Colorado, California, New York, or Italy! Maybe one day when we have our own home we can do that! Seems like it's a great way to save on cost of hotel. And much more comfortable! I believe it would be a good idea to maybe run a background check on each other and get references, copies of each other's ID's, etc,. Don't know if I'd trust someone else with my car though!

i agree there's risk there. i guess that kind of decision works only in haste and in situations like cameron's and kate's in that movie, when there's not much time to think. gives me the thrill though :)

It is a chick flick. I loved this movie. It was such a unique idea and story line. There was some romance involved and 2 adorable children. My husband did not like it too much, but he would never admit liking a chick flick even if he did enjoy it. Go and see it and see what you think.

i love the personality shift from a dating guy to a single dad in the character of jude law, and how honest the explanation of it was.
