During college I dated a Indian girl. She was pretty much born here. Her parents moved here when she was a infant. She was really open minded but her parent's were not. We had to hide our relationship from them. I could only come to visit when they weren't home. If I did come over while they were home, she would have to tell her parents we were just study partners or something. Needless to say it didn't work out in the long run. Recently I met a guy who was also Indian. I told him about the situation. He wasn't surprised. He said Indian parents are some of the most racist people around, and that they don't want their daughters to date anyone outside of their race. It would explain my experience, but I wonder if it is true in most cases?

You will find that there is a lot of cultures just as this. It is something the world will just have to overcome. There are many biracial relationships that overcome the hardships placed on them by one both families. I wish all those who are facing theses hurdles to happiness all the best.

Well it's just not Indian families that are like that. Many races are like that. Personally I don't care what you are...
