Now that 2006 is officially over in most parts of the world, what was your favorite music album of 2006...or even your top 3?
Feel free to check out this list of the top 60 albums that popmatters.com chose before or after you respond: http://www.popmatters.com/pm/features/list/C231/
My personal favorites are Tv on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain, The Roots - Game Theory, and the soundtrack to Babel the movie. They're all amazing!
Happy New Year!!!

Good selections with the Roots and TV on the Radio. A few personal favs that I would include are:
The Flaming Lips - At War with the Mystics
Dresden Dolls - Yes, Virginia
The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers
Gnarls Barkeley - St. Elsewhere
Thom Yorke - The Eraser
Don't forget to take a moment of silence in remembrance now that both CBGB's and James Brown are gone. RIP

Thanks for reminding me about CBGB's and James Brown...RIP... Two great legends gone.
Good choices! I forgot that Yes, Virgina came out this year...it seems so far away! And you know how I love the Raconteurs and Gnarls Barkeley, especially the arrangement and performance of "Crazy" on that website. Thanks for showing it to me...
Happy New Year! :)

Some of my favorites are Fox Confessor Brings the Flood by Neko Case, Eye to the Telescope by K.T. Tunstall (think it was 2006), and Rabbit Fur Coat by Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins (Lewis is the singer for Rilo Kiley and also sings with the Postal Service).
I'm sure I'm forgettingn a few of my real favs... maybe I'll think of them later.

I feel the same way...I mentioned a few albums, but I had many more favorites, like Muse. I love the Postal Service and I like KT Tunstall. Both of their music is very addicting!
Thanks for your comment!
