hi, I've been working on a paper on civilization games, and esp on Aoe. u may know that this game was proposed to be used in select schools in Britain for teaching history. Also it offers other insights, and I would claim it a twenty first century lens to a medieval period, with many game rules indirectly supporting The Clash Of civilizations Theory, esp the one of conversion, where upgradation is impossible for converted units. I would love to hear ur views plus any useful links
