Is The indian team still vulnerable to quality pace attack. Its true that indian team won the last time around against proteas but it was largely due to the indian bowlin. What due u think can be done to improve inida's condition on foreign pitches???
or still the world class indidan batting should be considered lacking against quality paceman like mcgrath ntini pollock etc

There is nothing wrong with the Indian team. It is the "sporting pitches" they have to play on which brings losses on home soil. All pitches for the home series should be prepared to suit the home team. All plans for preparing sporting, bouncy tracks should be implemented in domestic cricket first before bringing the experiment into Test cricket at home.
Seniors should realise their responsibility
Cricket is a prominent sport in India. In the present squad , there are world-class players, but their performance is not satisfactory. To improve performance, it is necessary to increase the fitness of players. It is because of a lack of fitness that they are not able to play continuously for their side. The second factor is even senor players are not performing well under pressure. The players should be toughened mentally so that they can play well under pressure. Skipper dravid will also have to perform better so that the others get confidence from him. It is a team game; therefore, each player should show some commitment and do his best, fight till the end, go for victory. There should be two coaches, one to look after the bowling department and one to take care of the batting aspect. It is time to change things from the grass-root level, if we want to save our reputation in the game.

even i believe that the changes have to come from the root leevel
my question was just to know other peoples mind set
even i truly believe that the best way to accomplkish good quality batting on foreign soils is by making changes in the domestic cricket arena

I think its absolutely true... Its a known fact that all of our batsmen r sturgling against the quality pace attack of SA in SA in the test matches... They have never played to their strengths in the recent days... But hope that they will Come to form b4 World Cup... All the best TEAM INDIA

Ni it not like that. It depends on the mind set of the players. If they play with a positive mind frame they can play any attack..

the last response was a real good one and if implemented can solve a lot of problems....but then its good to have some home advantage in cricket and i dont think it should be taken away....but yes depending on a coming tour the players shoukd train accordingly and even get more tour games for getting adjusted to the situations there...

I have my own say in this issue and bound to differ with lots of Indian Cricket Fans. Foreigners, when come to India, simply succumb to the dry-turning tracks in India and when India go abroad, they fail to face the pace attack in bouncy-juicy wickets.
If anybody can improve the situation it is ICC, who should take initiative for standardisation of pitches world wide.

Hey,every team is vulnerable to quality bowling. Dont forget that even australia lost the ODI series against SA. Just like other teams are vulnerable against quality spin bowling,we too have weakness. But I agree that It is our duty to play better. And we always were poor against quality pace, which many of our current players have not faced!!

No body can predict how Indian team, paticularly batting is going to perform against any kind of attack.Sometimes all of them start firing at the same time , sometimes all fail.
