Much hype was created when Microsoft announced "Longhorn" (now renamed as Vista). It is supposed to be Microsoft's safest OS till date and also the most feature rich OS from the Microsoft stable. Do you think that this OS can live up to the hype created around it, especially if it is going to replace the current Windows OS (Windows XP)?

i had windows vista on my pc.I was very impresed.I think it is realy a good OS.But you need a good pc if u wat it to work well. This wasnt a problem to me bcause i have a dual core cpu and 1 gb of ram.My problem was the lack of drivers.Even now some hardware manufacturers dont have drivers for vista. I probably will wait till the OS stabilizes before taking a decision on the switch.

I do not think it will live up to its hype when it first comes out since the Microsoft operating system and other software usually have flaws with them at first but maybe after it has been out a while and the flaws have been corrected, then it may be better than any other windows operating system ever. I will wait a while before buying it.
