Should new IIT's be started?

IIT's are rated the 3rd best universities in the whole WORLD at the undergraduate level for engineering. The government plans to add new IITs and increase the seats in the already present ones. What do you people think? do you think adding more IIT's will dilute the talent pool in the country or will it give more opportunities to more number of people? Do you think its better to have a few ppl of world class calibre or compromise on the talent and give way to more number of ppl getting this education?

Yes new IITs should be added for sure.There r various reasons to support it.First is the reservation problem. Many students abroad also want to study here so they should build atleast 2 new IITs or provide IIT status to some other good colleges.

yes more IIT are req.. OBC res.. has taken big issue and this will avoid students from going abroad.........

It is not about Reservations. we can provide a good quality education to many students.

According to various surveys india will lack in man capacity in technoligical front in the coming yrs ,so iits ll help to maintain that , but we must consider the quality of iits must remain intact. one of the possible soln for this to increase the salaries of proffesers so that more & more good faculty ll be available.

Yes iit are going to be started in Andhra pradash .. This was the artical published in paper ..
