Are you using Orkut for Web promotion or for Friends??

I have noticed that many communities in orkut have topics that have the content just to increase traffic of their website their sole purpose is to advertise their site on the community with large no users in the form of topics. Are you one of them who use orkut to promote their business or you use orkut for your friends??

well I dont like orkut ...I think its a waste of time mylot is much better bcz it pays

Yes...Mylot pays, but for me orkut is fine too, my many friends are in orkut, may be thats why..

thats good, but some people are using both for friends and web promotion and some are using it with a sole purpose of web promotion

I use orkut for my friends, I don't want to get orkut dirty and it becomes a dirty place, Web promotion is nice but you have to keep the orkut clean, join related communities if somebody wanted to spam then they should join related communities, but not spam in all the communities.

My answer to above question will be yes and why not we use it?Orkut has specially provided rss feeds directly from yoyr blog/site to the main page of the profile ,so that your friend or any person who visited your profile can look at your site/blog link and most important the content,Though i think this method will only prove good if you have an updated profile or you are avid user to these social networking sites.But i think it good to have such service to increase somne considerable amount of traffic for your site and to gain some exposure for your newly blog.
