The new ICC was creatd expressly for cituations like the one in Ira, to try alleged international criminals and dictators like Saddam Hussein. Those arguing for Saddam'strial by the ICC argued that it was not only the people of Iraq who suffered but also the people of Kuwait and Iranwho were ravaged as a result of Saddam's military invasions.
