Are "MOST" Americans ignorant about Canada?

I live in Canada, and I want to know why Americans don't know much about their closest neighbour. I have seen people with skis on their cars come to southern Ontario in July. They don't think it snows here all year round do they? I can kind of understand people in the southern states not knowing much, but border states are sometimes the same. How come?

I admit I dont know a thing about Canada. Except for what you read on the internet. But it seems like they are a peacfull country. I have only meet 2 canadians & they were really great nice people. I guess the reason no one knows alot about Canada is because you dont hear alot about them. I mean, there never in the news. You dont hear about terriost attacks or anything like that from Canada.

I think it's ashame you never hear about any of us. We get all your news here, all your tv channels, so, we know a lot. When I was in the US, I couldn't find any info about what was going on at home. I love the US, and love being your neighbour, you can come and visit me anytime.

I have looked for canadian news too. It is odd that we dont hear anything about y'all. Like I said, I guess it's just because it's so peacefull. If there was "human bombs" and everything like that then you'd probably be in the news alot more. So I guess it's a good thing that your not, because only bad things make the news.

I think I'd love to visit Canada. I've heard that it is really clean. (They dont have all the liter on the sides of the roads like the US does)

That's funny. People should check how the weather is going to be before they go up there so they're prepared. I've been to Canada a few times just through the airport but I've seen that it can be sunny and hot there too.

americans don't know anything about canada, i had a friend and we went out and some people from canada were there and she just made a fool out of herself, she said their accents were fake, and why didn't they speak french. i have family in canada and had to explain to her that like in the states, diffrent regions have diffrent accents, and not all candains speak french
