why nude paintings r so costly?

recently,i hv visited an painting exibition.there were so many gr8 painting drawn by class painters,but as per cost nude painting were getting the maximum championships i mean spectators n money,i dodnt understand that ,having other gr8 paintings too,then they r attracted n giving money so much to it(nude paintings
