I had to drag my best friend to the cinema to watch it with me, but she used up an entire box of tissues and even borrowed my handkerchief before the movie was over. I really really like that movie, I must've watched it like umpteen times already.
The beauty of it is that it's so simple but there's something that makes it special... the difference between a plain verse and a really beautiful poem, I guess. Although I wish someone would go and edit the opening part, that awful rock music and the awkward credits, because they don't fit the movie at all. Replace it with something more lyrical, that suits the story.
All that aside, I think that ten, twenty years from now, that movie will be a classic. It has had a profound impact already. I mean, say "A Walk To Remember", and you get a heartfelt sigh. If I were Italian I'd say "Bellisima!"
