There are various ways of addressing your friends,for example...Mamu,Mitr,chacha,ma man etc I think you might have got what I am saying.

In my country (mauritius), we say "kamarad", "l'armée", "mam", "bayyo", "bhay" etc I dont know if you'll understand these words as they are in Creole!!
