I want to know how many of you are downloading movies from the net.
Don't worry, im not from the Fed's ;).
I, myself watch all the movies in my personal computer.
What do you of people who download movies insted of paying and watch in cinema theaters?
Are there any downloaders here?

People go to movies mainly for one reason. Socialization. They take dates to movies, go with friends or family. I generally don't go to the movie theatre too often, but I have found it to be fun to be with other people when a movie is first released at the theatre. I have gone to movies alone a couple of times, and while I've enjoyed the film, I didn't find it as pleasurable as when I was with other people. Because of this, I generally waited till the video came out. Now that I've got a computer, I've found it more convenient to download movies. For one, it's cheaper than renting at the video store, it doesn't cost fuel in starting the vehicle and driving to town, and therefore, less time consuming since I live quite a ways from my community.

i can say that in israel most of the people i know is downloading movies and music from a share file program.
we usually go to the movie theater only when we wanyt to see a movie on the big screen because it has special effects or landscape or when we have a special get together of friends and we all want to do somthing outside our houses.
i guess there are a few reasons for doing that when the main reason is: money.
a ticket to the movies or a cd costs alote when you have a low pay check and can do it freely at home.
i wish that situation would change but i really do not see how.

You right, and they just don't get it. That's why many people here are still downloading movies instead of going to cinema theaters. If they just low the prices of the tickets, i'm sure that many people will come, and this industry will grow. But I don't see this happen in the near future.

I don't download movies from the net. To me it is much simplier to just watch them on a DVD so I can sit at home and watch them. Really relax. So I do on occassion go to the theater the majority of the time I just watch them on a dvd on my television.

I download. The tv here is crap and I hate that you have to have so much drilling done to get SKY. We have 100 year plus old brick walls and if they start drilling god only knows what the result would be!
I have become quite the little techy due to circumnsances, and I like getting certain tv shows, as well, as I am a scifi junky and they don't show the ones I like on the handful of channels we get.

Hey for me it depends on the movie which I like to watch on theatre or ownloa it from the net. Well, like the movies that are really fille with the big star cast and action something really special, that I would like to see on theatres with my partner an friends, but there are lot other ones which we obviously cant afford to go all time to the theatres in our so busy schedules, those I use to downloa from net an watch over the weekens.....

Honestly I have never downloaded a movie but clips yes. Probably because I don't have a fast connection and so I'd rather by or rent a dvd which is not expensive. Here in Thailand you can DVDs for about a dollar and the copies are very good. I do watch new movies at cinema theaters if I really like the actors/actresses. Otherwise I'd better buy or rent old movies on DVD that I have missed on the big screen.

i usually just wait til it gets on cable or dvd.
even with high speed downloading a movie would take a long time to do.
i'd rather spend the 9 bucks at walmart.

I don't download. But I buy dvd's for movies that interest me but may be put off until it's available on disc. I do go to the movies if I think that the movie is worthy of my 8bucks like 300. If my friends invite me I also go because it's a good way to bond with them.
