Wow, a guy walking out on a girl? Did she mention if he indicated why he was leaving?
I think that if I were one a bad date, I would say something about the behavior that was causing problems. If I did leave, I would tell the person that I was leaving and why.

that's so sad!!! how did your friend take it?? it has never happened to me, i think it will really be very hurtful to the other person...but i will try to speed up the date though..or try asking some friends to call me at designated time so that i can get away from the situation :D

I've never been walked out on and I've never walked out on anyone. I'll admit, I've been tempted to. Some dates are just so horribly dull and uncomfortable. I hate having to sit through dinner with someone I'm just not connecting with, or who's being outright offensive. Or at least borderline offensive. But there's certainly still time for it to happen.

It has never happend to me, but I did walk put on a blind date once. My friend set me up with this guy and all he could do was talk about his mom the whole time we were at dinner. I couldn't get a word in edge wise,a nd I was tired about hearing about his mothers quilting circle that I excused myself and walked out the front door. May have been rude but I couldn't put myself through any more torture.

that's funny -- Least you had the guts to walk out. I've never done it even though I'd been tempted to.

Yeah actually it happens. But I was the one actually leaving him. It is like this, I met this guy on the internet, at first we chatted okay and the conversation is great. We have been at it for about 2 weeks, then I agree to meet him up, of course not as date, but with friends as well.. to go clubbing. But in reality, actually he is very fat .. now I dont have objection to that really, but he has lied to me by giving me false pictures. I felt betray .. I mean if you want to start a friendship, that really is not the way to go.. and also, when we met he doesnt seem to really want to talk to me anyways... so in the club.. I kind of ignore him and just talk to my friends.. and after a while.. he excuse himself to buy a drink.. (I dont care about him anymore at that point) and I sort of moved to the other section of the club.. and he cant find me.. so he went home.. well he sms me that he is going home .. I guess he was dissappointed? But what else can I do?

I have date many people(girls) and walked out on 2-3 of them. The problem was that the picture of them that was online was way better then what I saw in real life, and I mean better then REAL life.

I never had it happen but there were a couple times I wish I'd walked out (You really have to pay for those free meals) so I suppose there were a couple times the guys probably wanted to walk on me but were also too polite....That guy was a world class jerk. Is there any way your friend can post a warning so he doesn't get away with it again?

Wow, what a jerk. That's never happened to me, but I've never gone a blind date nor with anyone from online. I don't think I could do it to anyone else either, unless they were exceptionally creepy--like Jack the Ripper creepy...then I might bolt, run home, lock all the doors, shut all the blinds, and fall asleep with the light on.

Yes I have. I was 14 and my date was trying to undress me in a theater. I was scared and shocked, I asked to be excused and pretended I had to go to the bathroom. But I went home instead.
