Symptoms of Acid Reflux?

My husband has been complaining of heartburn for a week, and taking OTC medication for it. He made a Doctor appointment at the end of last week, but won't see the doc until Tuesday (tomorrow). We now think he has Acid Reflux, but aren't really fluent on the symptoms of this? Can anyone help us out? Thanks! Kris

When my doctor diagnosed me with acid reflux, I had no idea that I was suffering. He said there may or may not be symptoms. I was complaining of throat congestion with no upper/lower respiratory illness and difficulty breathing. I was surprised to learn I was suffering from an asthma attack which was touched off by untreated acid reflux.
