Have you ever been fired from a job?

I was fired from my job a few years back. It felt great bcuz I was in for a nice long and much needed 'vacation' and I knew I'd have my job back in a year or less. I knew bcuz my boss was new and inexperienced, aside from being a complete moron. Almost to the day I was fired, I was reinstated with one years backpay + benefits. Eight months later, the boss who fired me was escorted permanently from the building. As promised, I am now leaving my dept on my own terms for a much better and meaningful life!

I've never been fired, myself, but I have been on the other side of the table and have had let people go. I didn't enjoy it but it was part of my responsibilities. In a majority of cases, I was screamed at, called nasty names, accused of ruining someone's life, accused of not "understanding" that they needed the money, etc. It's a bad situation all the way around.

I have never been fired from a job before and do not plan on having it ever happen to me. I always follow the rules at work and am always to work on time or early. Being fired is certainly not a good thing but I think it varies based on what you got fired for. Some people manage to get fired often and still are able to get jobs.

No I have never been fired, but I feel those who are fired are devastated and some go in depression as well. Being fired yes is looked down in our country.

yes i been fired and it wosn't my foult.It was becouse they considere that we were to much on number and they consider that they don't need me anymore.I felt verry bad and i cry but i was happy that i wasn't in a critical situation, i have had that job only becouse i wanted tu have my money...It was desponded but it pass so...

I was fired for being late too many times and for being a jerk to my boss. It sucked at the time, but it really helped me grow as a person, and I think I needed it. That was my only time being fired, thank God.
