Here is a funny for you. My mother, brothers and sisters who have dark hair can draw beautiful pictures. My brother and I have blonde hair and although you can tell what the picture is, it does not have the definition of those that are drawn by the dark haired members of our family. But, my talents are more than that. I do a lot of craft work and other members of my family do not have the ability to do them. Many people have other artitistic abilities. My mother recently took up oil painting and is doing quite well. I too would like to take some courses. Everyone can paint or draw. They may not look the same, but it is still considered artistic.

I see that talent runs though your family. Art is like handwriting. It varies from person to person on the same subject matter. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the great work you are doing on here and off.

My art involves old repairable objects that people have discarded or forgotten through the years. I repair them and paint them up like new, so that someone else might enjoy them again. Of course they have no antique value anymore, but they still have a value to someone. Plus I am a writer, which is a type of art. My first book came out a little over a month ago it is "Life Is Sometimes Funnier Than Fiction by Deborah Lorraine Olsen. It is a book of funny but true short stories and inspirational poems.

My art is my writing. I write a lot of free-association, and share them with others as they wish to read. Many read it and look dumbfounded. Others make their own meanings from the words. Some try to tell me what I mean by what I write. I must confess it is all subconscions thought put onto paper/blog. I never stop, and can generally write a page or two in a minute or so.
you can read some of my blogs at www.myspace.com/jimmy_needles
That is an amazing video, by the way!

I enjoyed going to your website. Your sillhouettes are amazing. I once watched a sillhouette artist in Madrid New Mexico, quickly cut a sillhouette from a small piece of black paper. You must have an amazing skill. Your photographs were not ordinary, but beautifully done

Obviously you already know that I am an artist as well and you have seen some of my works. I use watercolor markers for my poster art, fabric markers when designing tshirts, and I use paint pens/paint markers for anything else I do my work on like glass bowls, vases, jewelry boxes and other materials.

My husband is a graphic artists and uses acrylic paints as his favorite medium. His favorite subjects are mesieval history and life.
I am an oil painter and gadget artist (collages on canvas with real objects). I paint mainly landscapes and still life. The lastest gadget painting I've done was gathering many old and useless keys from my neighbots and friends and pasting them on canvas in the form of a close-up sunflower with grass beneath it. Then I paint the correct sunflower colors over it and was offered $150.00 for it. (canvas size was 15" x 20").

I am working on an oil painting at present, you can see it on my profile page. I like to work in many mediums. In the past I have worked with collage, acrylics, watercolour and airbrushing. I love working with clay but I haven't used it for ages. Of course I do digital stuff for my websites and for altering photos. I use mostly photosop for this.
