Ok, so ive never been to a big name band concert in my life and have just booked tickets to go to see razorlight in april! razorlight is one of favourite bands and am going to see them with two mates. the thing is they have been to concerts before and i havent, i just wanted to no what can i expect from it all? how long will it last and things like that... ill be driving there (hopefully have passed test by then, already have car and insurance and started lessons)so tips on parking or arrival times etc are apreciated. will they just do new songs or will some older classics come up? what about the support band(s), who will most likely play considering its razorlight headlining? once ive been i will write up a review of the night and my experiences as a first timer! (bin a while since ive sed that :p) cheers khris

I'm sorry for my ignorance in not knowing who this band is but you will enjoy yourself. Seeing a band perform live is a great experience; something you never forget. My first concert ever was back in 1981 (man that's a long time ago LOL), I went to see Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers with Split Enz has the opening act. Leave early enough. Concert areas can be crazed with the rush of wanting to get in and get rocken.

not a problem that you dont know who razorlight are, they havent broken onto the worlds publicity yet, but they will. they are playing at some bigger venues this year so can only hope more people will experience their music. you shall have to forgive me also as i dont know the band you refer to! i guess i shall look back on this event in years to come also, as i cant imagine i would ever forget my first concert! no worries about leaving plenty of time, i have to, im driving and as a new person to the roads i have to factor in a few wrong turnings, 50 miles this way 50 miles that way, the usual stuff! all in the great plan of things though!

you will have a great time, i saw them last year and they are a great act on stage. They will do a mixture of old and new stuff but you can guarantee they will do all the classics. They were on stage for two hours when i saw them in Sheffield and we all had a fantastic night out

You will love it. I have been to many live concerts. Once you have been to one you will want to go to more. The atmosphere is electric, and listening to a band live is far better than listening to them on the radio or television. The main act is normally on for 1hr 30 to 2 hrs sometimes more. With them being relatively new I would guess it will be no longer than two hours. There are normally two to three support bands. Get there for the doors open time on your tickets to get the most of the experience and hear most of the bands. You;ll probably have one new band and one more known band on first. I haven't seen razorlight myself but they are next on my list so let me know how you get on.
