Kapil Dev n Saurav were damn good for the team.

i think kapil dev is the best.man he brought the world cup to our land.though saurav had reached pretty close to his greatness there is alternative to the world cup.a world cup is a world cup,

Sourav ganguly. I am saying because when he was made the captian,team india was in deep trouble due to the certain bad incidents to jadeja,azar and some others. It was he who made this team a fighting unit,giving importance to fielding and also to youngsters like yuvi and kaif. So,I think tht he is the one. But I am not taking any credit away from kapil. But the all time great test captian of India would be certenly Nawab of Pattaudi. Winning test series away is no joke and that too at a time when the popularity for the game was low!!

Saurav Ganguly for sure is the best indian captain ever. I m not saying this only because of his records as a captain but there are few qualities in him which made him best. His aggression, his thirst for winning and building best Indian team, his faith on new and young players. he made a team which reached the world cup final because he believed in new players like. not every captain takes risk of taking new players, most of the captains wants to play safe by adding big names to there teams but saurav proved he is the best. i hope he will become captain of our team once again.

no doubt azahar despite kapil won world cup , sourav have gr8 record but azahar had only sachin . well if looks his team i.e. from 1991 to 1999 he never have good bowler. kumble was the strike bowler for him . azahar has gr8 cricketing brain and always have kool head over his shoulder

I think this is the tough question to be answered. Every captain from the period of Kapil Dev have proved good, improving with the time. Each captain coming after Kapil Dev proved to be best ones before the,. If you compare Azhar, Ganguly or now Dravid, they have good record from the previous ones. The success rate is just more than before, all of tem have contributed to thier best in making India a great team.

I think the best Captain is kapil dev, After all he made india to win world cup. He was also a great bowler (right arm pace bowler) he has a very good bowling action and out swinging ability. He started his career in 1978-79 against pakistan. He was also a great allrounder. he was also a very good hitter. He hits clean sixes. He was such a great player that he has been awarded wisden cricketer of the century in 2002. He also bagged the maximum wickets record. off 433 wickets in ODIs. He is great player and great captain. he is my favourite.

Md. azharuddin was and will be the best captain in indian history.he is out of the game but it is a very unfair thing against him.he deserves to be back atleast to play other cricket.

i feel its sourav ganguly coz when he took up the job role of leading the national team, the chips of indian team was really low. players like bhajji, kaif, yuvi and the special talent of dravid(wicket keeping) was brought out by ganguly.

hi We cant justify who is the best captain because cricket game has changed from time to time.So its having along history with different people establishing themselves in their era. For instance previously test matches were predominant.In such situation patience was required ingredient for a captain to take decisions.NO quick decisions are required. But now a days,cricket has turned into differnt look with one day internationals,twenty-twenty invading in.So,in todays cricket aggressiveness along with sporting spirit is required.So captains of yesterday and today cant be compared Sourav is known for his aggresiveness,dravid for his temperment,Kapil for his allround capability etc. So everyone are kings intheir own era

well although kapil won us the world cup, but i still think it was a chance. but when it comes to great skills in cricket as a captain then it will def. be saurav. he has the brains to lead the team india and also he did so well overseas. he has the skills to understand the situation and act according to that. this was not with dravid. actually all great players cannot be good captain. the best example is sachin. he is the great batsman ever still he is not a very good captain. so i feel it is dada and obvisoul choice

I think saurav ganguly is the best captain. You can see from his overseas winnig record. He makes entire indian team a belief that they can win outside india.

I think saurav is the best captain for india..I like his attitude,his behaviour,skills....kapil may have won the world cup for the country...but i didnt watch his matches as i was child at the time he was playing.But by seeing saurav's game i was impressed with me..For me he is the best captain ever for india..

I think that Saurav was the best captain of all times. It was he who built this team. He had confidence to young players under his leadership. He taught Indian to look into the Eyes of the opponent and play game aggresively.
