I have a PSP with firmware 2.6 and have been using it mostly to catch up with shows and to kill time using mostly the media functions. The web browser function is subpar. It will get you through browsing sessions and for skimming sites on the couch. It beats having a laptop but is limited in it's functionality. To check sites for email, communications, or anything with alot of letter entry is not suggested. I have gotten frustrated with the way you enter letters. It tends to be cumbersome since it is similar to how text entry is entered in a standard cellphone. I have my PSP setup with a linksys WRT54G wireless router without speedbooster. I have noticed that the loading of pages is not as fast as what i can get from a typical laptop. In short, the benefits/positive attributes do not outweigh the drawbacks/negative attributes. I would recommend it if : 1) you don't already have a laptop and 2) you are seeking for a more portable solution for media and internet. I personally would not recommend it solely for web surfing device. You decide for yourself.

No, it basically sucks at games, internet, and everything in between. You should sell it, buy a computer and a DS and be happy in life
