Your Worst Break-down Eperience

Many of us have ended up broken down onthe side of the road for one reason or another. What was your worst experience being broken down or out of gas?
I was on my way from the bay area to Chico, and I broke down in a town called Willows. It was a small farming town, and I had no cell phone reception, no money, and I had no idea what I was going to do. Some guy kept asking me toget in his car, and I thought I was going to end up raped or dead. My friends showed up at just the right time and now I'm all good! :)

My worst breakdown was when there were very bad floods here. I drove 25 miles to go to a concert and spent six hours trying to get there. When I got there the concert was over and I had to come home again. It was about 1 o clock in the morning and pitch dark when I rounded a corner and splash straight into a huge pool of water which came half way up the door of the car. The car cut out half way through. Luckily I had my phone with me and was able to call the rescue service, but I spent six hours trapped there in the pitch dark and freezing cold (it was the middle of winter). It was so scarey. A passing truck driver had to give me a blanket to keep warm. When I got home then I had to go straight into work. I was SO exhausted.

Not as scarey as what you went through. At least I had my phone. They're a lifesaver really aren't they.......mobile phones.

I broke down in the middle of the hwy. Luckily I was able to drive the car to the nearest exits car repair shop-later I contacted my son and husband who came to my rescue in paying for the repairs.
