I am determined that I am going to loose weight. My NO Diet starts tomorrow. Im aiming to eat healthier and walk more. Im not going to do weight watchers, unislim the GI or any of the big seller diets as I feel they are only short term and when you stop the weight goes back on. Im buying a good scales tomorrow and am hoping to lose a pound to two pounds a week. Wish me luck folks. Will keep you posted on how Im going week by week. Wish me luck.

I too am determined to lose weight and I am also determined that my husband will lose twice as much, as he needs to lose it more than I do. However, we have so much food, including chocolates, crips and cakes, left over from Christmas that I shall have to eat all those first as I don't want to waste any of them. I have just bought a new breadmaker so that I can make stelt bread, as this is supposed to be less fatenning than plain white bread. I will check back to see how your weight loss is going, and maybe I will get some encouragement from reading your posts. Best of luck and I hope I can follow in your footsteps.

Good luck to all of you and good luck to me as well because I am going to be doing the same thing. I am going to focus most on exercise because that speeds metabolism and will help decrease my appetite. Just a word of warning to those of you who are dieting with your husbands. My doctor says men lose weight twice as fast as women. Even if you are doing the exact same things, he will lose twice as fast. It can be discouraging if you are not expecting it to happen!

well I am doing the same loosing weight due to health problems and I am losing the weight slowly as this is the best way to lose weight, and I have cut back on sugar, I take a tablet called Haemertes, and also changed to skim milk, instead of full cream milk, and doing a bit more of extra walking than I have done in the last few years and I was only noticing this morning that my weight is coming off so I am very pleased so I wish you all the best in your endeavour to lose the weight you wish to lose.

weight loss has direct corelation with health. If you are overweight, weightloss acts as an oxygen to the body making you active..unexpected weightloss on the otherhand can be sign of medical requirements.

Good luck on your plan it sounds like a good one hopefully im going to be doing the same next week once i come back from my all inclusive holiday. Just remember though that muscle weighs more than fat so dont be disheartened if you're excerising and not losing weight. I have a pair of jeans that are too small i just fit in them and instead of weighing myself i try these on every couple of weeks and i know how im doing by how well the do or dont fit me.

Good for you Im really glad to hear this. Eating low carbs and walking can REALLY make a difference..just stay motivated and do not give up. even when you're really tired and 100 percent dont feel like walking dont give up and when you really crave junk food, just eat a little or really think through the consequences and think about your goal. I wish you good luck and a hapy new yr :)

Good luck to you =) Although I disagree - weighwatchers are actually good and the point is not to go back to your old behavious again. Weighwatchers is not a diet, it is a lifestyle and it does not forbid anything.. you just have to keep track that you are not overdoing it... Anyways - let us know how it goes!

I do wish you luck! I know it's not an easy struggle, as that is my goal for this year as well. I've tried all the fad diets. And you are right, I think it just has to be a lifestyle change. How much weight are you hoping to lose? Good luck!

I am doing the same thing as you. I am aiming to eat healthier and to exercise as much as I can. I would like to lose weight but I have to be able to keep it off too. I know that anythign that I lose is better thannothing but I'd really like to aim for at least 50 pounds at this point (and even with that I'd be overweight still)

Rather than describing it as a 'weight lose regime' consider it as a 'staying fit regime'. So don't skip your diet, instead, workout daily. Take my case, I do 5-10 Kms running in the morning, then gym workouts and swimming often in the eves..Enjoy life...Best of luck!!!

I know this might sound crazy but anyway I thought I would share, as I do judo I regularly have to lose weight and keep my weight stable etc, anyway here's a few tips I find work..I have never crash dieted..or done anything like weight watchers at all, but the best solutions are, to make sure you get into a routine, get proper sleep of at least 8 hours a night, eat 5 small meals a day rather then 3 large ones, do exercise in the morning on an empty stomach because otherwise if you just do it later in the day you are only burning the excess weight you have put on that fay for the first 30 mins of your exercise (I was told by my trainer) and running is a great way to lose weight, just a light jog of 20 mins a day will even help clear your mind and make you destress a little bit...well I thought I would tell you what works for me and good luck I hope it works out for you xxx

thats really interesting what you say about running on an empty stomach, I have never tried it. In fact, the only time I get to do any exercise is at 9pm!! After I have eaten all of my meals. I am gonna bear that in mind as I try to lose my weight.

I am trying to lose 50 pounds as well. I lost two and a half last week. I refuse to diet though. Instead, I am changing eating habits. I am only changing habits that I know I can keep up with for the rest of my life and it wont' just be a fad I go through. The first step I took was to start eating breakfast every morning. This helps with metabolism. The next thing was to slowly increase my water intake until I was up to 64 ounces per day. By doing this you will also lose water weight, your body will feel better as well. Then I decided my goal was to get 5 fruits and/or vegetables every day. I have stopped buying junk food, but if I want a treat now and then I allow it. I have been trying to pay close attention to portions and make sure that I am not over eating. I get plenty of food, I don't feel hungry, but I don't let myself eat until I feel extremely full. If I didn't get enough to eat I snack on fruit in between meals.

Well teenal, I see you're still losing! I'm really pushing myself in the gym and I'm having a bowl of Special K in the mornings, a pitta bread sandwich for lunch and then a good dinner. I think the combination of exercise and healthy eating is doing wonders for me. I don't even feel as tired as I've been feeling. Mind you, this might be due to those amazing toxin patches too. Good luck for this week with the diet!

Try to eat cantaloupes, they burn up to 35% of fat cells. Drink lots of water, up to two liters a day. Godd luck!

Just wanted to wish you good luck too. I've fought the battle of the bulge most of my life. Several years ago I lost 60 pounds and have kept most of it off by changing my eating pattern. I try not to eat late at night (I'm a night owl) and increase the amount of fruits and vegetables in my diet. Drinking lots of water and walking really helped me too.

I wish you the best of luck in the diet that you are undertaking. I have been trying to dedicate myself to one for some time now, and I am coming to the realization that I just need to do more exercising if I expect to ever shed any of these pounds. Good luck to you, and good luck to me too, as I try to have a healthier year! Keep us updated on how well your plan works. :)
