Chinese New Year / Spring Festival / Lunar New Year is the most important traditional Chinese culture. It is 15 days starting on from the first day of the first lunar month of the Chinese Calendar (Usually in February based on international calendar). It celebrated internationally in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese. I would like to hear from all Chinese or anyone with Chinese ascendancy and of course for other race too. How important is Chinese New Year for you?
I heard many big city outside China such as Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, Jakarta, and many others city celebrates every year with different way due to influence of local culture. What about other big city in Europe, America, Australia and Africa such as London, Amsterdam, New York, Johannesburg, etc?
And Is there anyone who ever had Chinese New Year experience in Middle East city? What does the celebration look like?
