Riddles have always intrigued me. I like solving them. Being in software industry for a long time, I found that solving riddles, and puzzles have improved my approach towards solving any kind of problem in a logical and systematic way.
Keeping your head cool in difficult situations is always important. Interviewers use riddles and puzzles to test an interviewee's knowledge, mettle and ability to sustain pressure. A person may not have been good academically but his planning and approach towards solving complex issues can be used to evaluate him for the job.
What do you think about it? Are interviewers right?

What do you think about paradoxes? I think paradox kind of puzzle make you think a lot because they are kind of unsolvable.

Yes, you are right. I had an advantage in my interview due to my experience on solving puzzles and I had read how others solved puzzle and I have in a way developed an approach to handling puzzles and complex situations by listing down all the known data and variables of the problem... and then proceed step by step solving and putting values in expression eventually leading to a solution.

Yea, I understand.. you bachelors have spoiled the culture of having hobbies.. sittin in front of the comps, working single staying in the office late until dinner.. and friends not getting together and challenging each other at all.
Work work and work.. its all you remember.
