Well he made and gave us an interesting novel to read and enjoy, i feel he not wanted to prove something about the facts in the da vinci code. Just to enjoy the fiction, knowing no one will believe it to be true.

Well obviously it's a brilliant story with good back up researches. So that you ight feel it's real. Doesn't matter, does it at least a jesus was real :)
